While Belle has finally admitted that she has feelings for EJ on Days of Our Lives, she’s turned to her brother, Brady, for someone to confide in. EJ’s not the most well-liked guy in Salem, which is an interesting parallel to Brady’s former romantic relationship with EJ’s sister, Kristen. Both have had dysfunctional liaisons, so commiserating comes easily to them. Martha Madison recently opened up about working with Brady’s portrayer, Eric Martsolf, and how he livens up her life.
He’s Quick-Witted
Soap Opera Digest interviewed Madison, who explained that she’s happy the show has returned to highlighting family relationships in Salem. She liked that the stories were getting into the little details of how family members interact, noting that it’s “something that feels like a nice return to daytime.”
She also praised her co-star, Martsolf. “Nobody makes me laugh like Eric does,” she enthused. Maddison loves it when she finds out that they’re going to be scene partners on a given day because a good time is almost guaranteed. She loves working opposite him, remarking, “He does impressions and stuff, and is just the funniest, quickest-witted person there.”

A Teeny, Tiny Condo
One aspect of the ongoing stories that makes her giddy is that Belle and Brady are living with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) in a tiny apartment. The actors often poke fun at the fact that they’ve got “big careers,” but still live with their parents — an excuse for the two to bump into each other often.

Living with their parents isn’t the only funny thing. “The place has this tiny little living room, but there are like 25 other rooms!” she remarked, noting that the concept often makes her and Martsolf crack up. She loves that Belle and Brady can confide in each other, as well as do sibling things like poke fun at one another, “Because they’re both doing stupid stuff all the time too,” she said, adding, “We get to play a lot of that.”
