Days of our Lives Photo Recap: Mother’s Day Was Fraught With Mixed Emotions

Paulina was horrified by Chanel's rejection, while E.J. was stunned by the DNA results.
The Friday, May 10 episode of Days of Our Lives had Chad bonding with Julie, while Paulina and Nicole had a disastrous holiday. Plus, E.J. was stunned to get the confirmation from Dr. Rolf he had been seeking.

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) expressed her hatred for Nicole (Arianne Zucker) when she was forbidden to attend her junior prom because of her previous overdose. Meanwhile, Chanel (Raven Bowens) hurt Paulina’s (Jackée Harry) feelings when she needed space while dealing with her baby’s possible radiation sickness. Plus, E.J. (Daniel Feuerriegel) got the confirmation that he has been dreading.
After once again demanding that Dr. Rolf speed up the DNA test, E.J. got a call from Sloan who reminded him that keeping the secret that Eric is Jude’s biological father was in both their best interests.
Julie put flowers on the Tom and Alice Horton memorial in Horton Town Square, and asked for a hint on how to open the time capsule. Then, Paulina showed up and they wished each other a Happy Mother’s Day, although Paulina wasn’t feeling like a good mother. Julie told her not to be so hard on herself.
Chad took Thomas to Abigail’s grave for Mother’s Day where they honored her memory.
After telling his own mother that he had nothing new to report, Johnny talked to Chanel who didn’t want to spend the holiday with her mother.
Eric and Sloan had a pleasant Mother’s Day morning, as Eric was only wearing his undies and an apron.
At breakfast, Holly caused a scene when Nicole told her she couldn’t go to the prom because of what happened on New Year’s Eve. She told Nicole that she absolutely hated her, and didn’t want to feel like Rapunzel trapped in a tower.
Chad and Julie bonded as they discussed being excited for their rebuilt home to be finished. He then told her that she was the glue that held the family together, and he was glad she was a mother figure for his children. She promised to keep Abigail’s memory alive.
Despite Chanel saying she wasn’t up for celebrating, Paulina showed up at the DiMera mansion with goodies. Chanel lit into her mother for endangering her baby, and Paulina left in tears.
Holly ran out into the town square where Eric saw her and consoled the young woman.
A stunned E.J. got a call from Dr. Rolf who confirmed that Eric was indeed Jude’s bio-dad, as he simultaneously saw Nicole cradling the baby for Sloan.
