Lisa Rinna is getting candid about some of her iconic soap roles. The Days of Our Lives alum doesn’t typically bat an eye at anything, but she was shocked when she had to kiss two different men on the same day.
Juicy Drama
Rinna took a trip down memory lane on the Who’s the A**hole? With Katya podcast. The actress was asked to share “the most juicy and exciting” soap role. Rinna immediately mentioned the time when she played Taylor McBridge on the ’90s primetime drama Melrose Place. It was a sultry soap centered around good-looking residents of an apartment complex.
“That was most fun by far,” Rinna explained. “She was nuts. And I could do anything.” There was a time when the script called for Rinna to kiss two men on the same day. “This was so funny. One day, I had to kiss two actors, one right after the other. So, I had to make out with Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro), and then I had to make out with the guy that played Peter (Jack Wagner).”
Rinna admitted that she was “freaked out” by the idea. It was something that she had never done before in her life. It sounds like an alluring idea. However, Rinna never did anything like that ever again. It was a wild theory, even for the outlandish RHOBH alum.
Good Hygiene
Elsewhere in the interview, Rinna was asked whether an actor’s hygiene would bother her during love scenes. She never had that issue. “Luckily, their hygiene was good. So I lucked out there,” Rinna said. She previously expressed an interest in joining the Melrose Place reboot.
However, it looks like it’s only an idea at the moment. Rinna also said that she would be willing to return to DAYS as Billie Reed. She has played her share of baddies in daytime and primetime soaps. Now, she’s navigating the next journey in her career. Rinna just launched a new podcast with her husband, Harry Hamlin, aptly titled Let’s Not Talk About the Husband.
