As if being the executive producer and composer for Days of Our Lives wasn’t enough, Ken Corday is also performing his original music once again. Corday will take the stage at the Garry Marshall Theatre in Burbank on October 23, 25, and 26 to play his original music in an event titled, “Songs Without Words.” His sold out performance in 2023 is guaranteed to repeat itself this year, as fans eagerly await the concert dates.
Music is His Passion
According to the Garry Marshall Theatre’s website, Corday’s concert will be a fundraiser for, “the SAG/AFTRA Foundation’s Emergency Assistance Program, which provides financial aid to SAG/AFTRA artists who are experiencing extreme or unexpected financial hardships.” Also to entice fans, an unannounced guest will introduce him, and it’ll be a different person each night.
With almost 110 seats in the theater, it will make for a cozy setting as Corday plays on a Bosendorfer Concert Grand Piano. In a press release, he stated, “I am so thrilled to be able to, once again, share my own music with the world. Music has always been a great passion of mine, and the opportunity to share the different styles of contemporary American piano compositions I’ve been working on while also benefiting a cause close to my heart is nothing short of a dream.” (Find out what Corday previewed for DAYS’ 15,000th episode.)

Don’t Just Listen, Participate
“I hope my music brings as much joy to the hearts of all those that listen, as it does for me to perform it,” Corday enthusiastically stated. When he was six-years-old, Corday learned how to play piano by creating his own compositions. At age eight, the Juliard School of Music in New York City inducted him, and later he attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where he studied various forms of jazz.
Corday has created the wonderful score for DAYS, and is not the only one from the show with musical talent. Cast members Wally Kurth (Justin), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Brandon Barash (Stefan), and Carson Boatman (Johnny) have formed a band called The Day Players, with newcomer Leo Howard (Tate) stepping in for Kurth recently. In much the same way as the Players get the fans going, the release explained Corday also loves music that, “We participate with rather than just listen to, and believes the simplest of music is often the most memorable.” (Learn what Corday’s favorite DAYS episode is.)
