As the secret of baby Jude’s paternity gets closer to being revealed, his mom’s portrayer, Arianne Zucker, will continue being busy after her upcoming Days of Our Lives exit. The actress continues to thrive, despite the controversial nature of her departure from the beloved sudser.

A New Film in the Works

Not one to rest on her laurels, Arianne Zucker, who is leaving DAYS after playing Nicole Walker for over 26 years, has several new projects going on. On July 1, she posted some photos on Instagram from her new film, Memec, writing, “Amazing time filming on @memecfilm 🎥 I feel so fortunate to have played this delicious character! I could not have asked to be part of a better cast and crew! Thank you for making [me] feel at home! ❤️. Can’t wait to see it! @polahaha #memecfilm #vantriloquist #scarymovieseason.”

The fan response was bittersweet as everyone was simultaneously sad she was leaving DAYS, but happy for her new endeavors. One follower lovingly responded, “Happy for you! Sounds so silly, but I will miss you on DAYS. I grew up watching it with my Grandma in the summers when she would watch me…I wish you happiness and health and love…all the good vibes 🙌.” Another fan lamented, “So happy for you!! I’m going to miss you so much on Days!! You’re an amazing actress and deserve all the success!! 💕.”

Fans Are Looking Forward to Her New Film

According to IMDb, Memec’s plot reads as: “When a struggling impressionist and a contract for fame take center stage, the battle for a good man’s soul takes the spotlight.” Sounds to us like a “deal with the devil” kind of story, which would explain her hashtag, #scarymovieseason. It’s directed by Kristoffer Polaha, who also starred in Hallmark’s time-traveling tale, A Biltmore Christmas, and this is the first feature he’s directed.

Writer Marc Oakley posted on LinkedIn at the beginning of June, “I’ve got some exciting news! First and foremost, my film MEMEC is fully funded! Things are moving fast in the MEMEC world. This week is our first tech scout in Reno. A tech scout, or technical scout, is a pre-production stage in the film and TV industry where department heads visit a potential filming location to determine the final details of filming and to ensure that it meets the production’s script, budget, and technical requirements.” He further explained that filming began on June 10 and was expected to finish on June 28, which would explain why Zucker could share pics from the flick.

We’re excited about her new film and look forward to where her career takes her! (Find out where to find other soap stars across the dial.)
