Here’s The One Character All The Upcoming Days of our Lives Returns Have In Common

There’s about to be a wave of beloved Salemites returning to Days of our Lives in the coming months, and they all have one character in common.

Who Can It Be Now?

In a town primarily filled with Hortons and Bradys, it’s easy to see how most people in Salem are connected. But with returns ranging from Bradys, Hortons, DiMeras, and a Donovan, there’s only one character they all have in common… Abigail.

Sure, “Abigail” (AnnaLynne McCord) may not truly be Abigail, and is instead another Greene sibling who is working with Mark (Jonah Robinson) to scheme their way to the DiMera fortune for Clyde (James Read), but could all these returns mean something more for the still-deceased Abby?

Connections Across Salem

The first to return will be Abigail’s parents, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Jack (Matthew Ashford), their return coinciding with DAYS’ 15,000th episode in December. Only time will tell if “Abigail”‘s true identity will be revealed by then, but they’re not the only ones with a connection to the character.

Sami (Alison Sweeney, whose brand new Hallmark Mystery movie premiered this weekend) was next to be announced, and while she’s not related to Abigail, they were once both in love with the same man: EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). The announcement of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) return wasn’t too far behind, along with their daughter Ciara (Victoria Konefal), who are all connected to Abigail through Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes).

Say the real Abigail did wind up coming back from the dead, who better than to help her through the transition than her cousin Will (Chandler Massey, who stars in a new Hallmark Christmas movie this year), who also returned from the dead and is heading back to Salem.

Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna (Leann Hunley) are an easy connection, since Abigail was married to a DiMera, but what about Carrie (Christie Clark)? While not blood-related to Abigail, Carrie is another one in Salem who was in love with the same man as Abby: Austin (Patrick Muldoon). Back in 2011, Austin hired Abigail as his assistant and she quickly fell for him. It wasn’t long until they kissed and Abigail faked their affair in order to get Austin’s wife. Carrie, out of the picture.

The only person on the list of returns who doesn’t have a direct connection to Abigail is Shane (Charles Shaughnessy), but with his buddy Steve (Stephen Nichols, who paid tribute to the late Drake Hogestyn) determined to get answers about Abigail out of Clyde, it’s not a stretch he may return to help.

Why do you think all these characters are returning to Salem soon? Let us know in the comments.
