DAYS fans who don’t have the peacock (the network’s streaming service) might want to sign up so that they can enjoy the next installment of Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem. The digital drama is returning and so are many of your favorites!
The show has announced that the cast of Beyond Salem is comprised of returning favorites including Eileen Davidson (Kristen, Susan, et. al.) and Christopher Sean (Paul Narita), as well as some actors brand news to the Days of our Lives universe.
Watch for Loretta Devine (Grey’s Anatomy; Boston Public) to appear as Angela. Davidson’s real-life husband, Vince Van Patten (The Six Million Dollar Man) will play Phil Hellworth. The character of Joey Johnson, previously played by James Lastovic, will now be played by Tanner Stine. Abigail Klein is taking over the role of Stephanie Johnson, previously played by Shelley Hennig. Colton Little is playing Andrew Donovan, the son of supercouple Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly Brady Donovan (Patsy Pease). Victoria Grace is set to play Wendy Shin.
This next installment of Beyond Salem will also star Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams Brady), Peter Reckell (Bo Brady), Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans Black), Drake Hogestyn (John Black), Steve Burton (Harris Michaels), Stephen Nichols as Steve Johnson, Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady Johnson), Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez DiMera), Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Weston), Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady Weston), and Remington Hoffman (Li Shin).
In keeping with the show’s title, Beyond Salem takes characters outside of the broadcast show’s setting — Salem, USA — and sets the drama across the globe from the West Coast to Monte Carlo to Hong Kong.
Watch for Steve and Kayla to make a surprise visit to Stephanie and Joey in Seattle, while John travels to San Francisco to see Paul. Meanwhile, Ben and Ciara drop anchor in Montreal – where they are greeted by a much-missed Hope!
The five-episode limited series is set to drop on the peacock starting Monday, July 11. “We are beyond thrilled to be partnering with peacock again to produce a second chapter of Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem,” said Ken Corday, executive producer. “Being able to build off of the storylines from Days of our Lives to create another exciting series for the audience brings myself, the Corday Productions team, and the cast so much joy. I cannot wait for the fans to see what we have in store next!”
Corday is the executive producer of Beyond Salem. Albert Alarr is co-executive producer. Ron Carlivati serves as head writer. Peacock is the exclusive streaming home to DAYS. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
