Does This Mean War for Stefan and EJ on the July 9 Days of Our Lives?

EJ was not happy that Gabi publicly revealed he wasn’t Jude’s biological father on the July 9 episode of Days of Our Lives. He blamed Stefan who swore he would keep the secret to his dying days, but now with nothing to lose, EJ could be a loose cannon that will wage total war against his brother. Plus, Tate and Holly’s plan with Aaron got underway after almost falling apart.

EJ’s Going To Go Scorched Earth

Short of officially losing his job just yet, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) has pretty much lost everything because Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) somehow grew a conscience and decided that Eric (Greg Vaughan) should know that he’s Jude’s (Oliver McLarty) bio-daddy. A furious EJ screamed threats to the ether when Holly (Ashley Puzemis) walked in on him. He explained what had happened and why he kept quiet about not actually being the baby’s father, and in a tender moment, she surprisingly understood his rationale. But that didn’t abate his anger toward Stefan (Brandon Barash), who again swore up and down that he wanted to keep the secret but couldn’t control Gabi. And now EJ’s lost both the baby and his wife, Nicole (Arianne Zucker). He explained to Stefan, “I’ve always been aware that trusting any member of my family would be a risky enterprise. Still, I overrode my instincts and made a deal with you. I let that despicable Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) walk so your wife could go free.” EJ’s not going to make that mistake again. Ultimately, he tried to explain his actions to Nicole, but she didn’t want to hear any explanations, so he gave back her wedding ring and asked for a divorce. Like a wounded animal, EJ could get extremely vicious and take down anyone in his path, especially Stefan and Gabi. He’s going to be irrational and unpredictable, and if he can hold on to his job as district attorney, he might be able to use that as leverage to somehow punish his brother and sister-in-law. Either way, EJ is known for his ruthlessness and win-at-all-costs modus operandi, so it’s looking like Salem is going to be ground zero for his rage.

Holly and Tate’s Summer Adventure Begins

After almost getting bagged by Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and nearly having his mom, Theresa (Emily O’Brien), ruin things, Tate (Leo Howard) finally enacted his plan to send his friend Aaron (Louis Tomeo) in his place to Lacrosse camp. He’ll stay in hiding somewhere in Salem, so he and Holly can have some much-needed hang-time together. This could go in several different directions: They’ll get caught, and it’s game over before it begins. But that’s no fun. They’ll be sneaking around with several near misses of being caught. But that can only go so far. Or, the two will somehow get embroiled in something dangerous and may have to go on the run to save their skins. That last option seems to be the most entertaining, so our fingers are crossed that the current DAYS teen scene dabbles in danger and excitement! (Read up about Salem’s other teens!)
