AnnaLynne McCord: From Salem to Saudi Arabia
Deadline reports that McCord, best known for her role as Naomi Clark on The CW series 90210, has joined the cast of Paper Empire. She’ll play Tabitha Sutton, a seasoned CIA agent/cyber security analyst, who’s been assigned to monitor an agent’s activity and who will provide security.
Soap Hub first reported on Paper Empire going into production back in 2019 with news of Denise Richards (ex-Shauna, The Bold and the Beautiful) joining the cast. The show, which is set in a world of big money and high stakes, is set to air sometime this year.
Paper Empire‘s all-star ensemble includes Robert Davi (Die Hard; ex-Fish, General Hospital), Wesley Snipes (Passenger 57), Kelsey Grammar (Frasier), Anne Archer (Fatal Attraction; ex-Cassandra, Falcon Crest), Carol Alt (The Man Who Came Back), Cuba Gooding, Jr. (Jerry Maguire), Steve Guttenberg (Three Men and a Baby), and Robert Knepper (Prison Break).
“Personally, AnnaLynne is not just an example of a woman survivor of hellish child abuse,” said Robert Gillings, Paper Empire‘s creator/writer/director. “I see her as a warrior, a role model for others who have been victims of physical, mental, and sexual abuse, showing that one can not only overcome but succeed in life and career. She’s heroic; she’s my hero.”
McCord’s other credits include Nip/Tuck, Dallas, Beauty and the Beast, Secrets and Lies, DC Legends of Tomorrow, and The Night Shift.
Saudi Arabia is over 8,000 miles away from Burbank, Cali., where DAYS shoots. However, we hear McCord won’t be racking up any frequent mileage miles in the near future as she completed her Paper Empire role prior to joining the cast of DAYS.
