Days of our Lives Star Sal Stowers Announces Her Engagement

Sal Stowers has much to celebrate recently. Not only is she back for a bit as Lani on Days of our Lives but she’s got some exciting personal news, too. The actress has made a big announcement — she’s engaged!

“Been keeping a secret,” Stowers, who plays Lani Price Grant on the soap, teased in an Instagram post that contained some photos of her and her beau, actor/writer/director John-Michael Carlton. “The Love of My Life got down on one knee [on April 30th] and asked me to be his wife. I said YES!!! Soaking it all in being engaged to this incredible and gentle man. Holding on to him forever and ever.” Stowers ended this part of her post with the symbol for infinity.

She thanked photographer @steiner.creative and makeup artist @muaxsally for helping make her photos look so beautiful! Though with this bride and groom, how could they miss?

Carlton is an actor whose credits include appearances in Blue Bloods, Bull, New Girl, Mom, Modern Romance, and Riverside Guys. Carlton also wrote and directed the latter series.

The actress’s DAYS castmates chimed in with supportive messages on her post. “Awww Sal Congratulations!!! XO,” wrote Kristian Alfonso (Hope). Brandon Barash (Stefan) said: “So. Damn. Happy for you!” Added Robert Scott Wilson (Alex): “Congrats Sal!!! Xo.”

Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) posted: “Congratulations Beautiful! You deserve it!!!!” Good pal Marci Miller (ex-Abigail) exclaimed: “WOMAN. LOOK AT THE TWO OF YOU!! Sheesh!!” Martha Madison (Belle) wrote, “OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m sooo happy for you!!!!!!” Adding well-wishes is Stowers’s on-screen husband Eli, played by Lamon Archey, who wrote, “Congratulations!!!!!!!” followed by a champagne bottle emoji.
