Lisa Rinna hasn’t appeared on Days of our Lives in a while, but she starred in the NBC soap’s spinoff Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem. There is no doubt that her return to the daytime show would be cause for celebration. And that’s something that Rinna knows all about.
And that’s because she was born on July 11, 1963, in Newport Beach, California, which means this talented performer turns 60 yesterday! Upon graduating from Medford Senior High School, Rinna packed her bags and relocated to San Francisco in order to pursue a career in modeling.
That led to work in nationally televised commercials and music videos, eventually culminating in Rinna launching an acting career. And it was all thanks to a recurring role on The Hogan Family.
In 1992, Rinna joined the cast of NBC’s Days of our Lives in the role of Billie Reed. Her romance with Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) proved to be a fan favorite, and the coupling even rivaled that of stalwart couple Bo and Hope.
Rinna departed the soap in 1995 (though she paid return visits in 2002, 2012, and 2018) in order to assume the role of Taylor McBride on Aaron Spelling’s sudsy drama Melrose Place.
Rinna has been married to Harry Hamlin since March 29, 1997, and the two have worked opposite one another in two major projects: the TV series Veronica Mars and the Lifetime original film Sex, Lies & Obsession. Together, the couple has welcomed two children, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray.
Aside from her acting, Rinna is known for co-hosting Soap Talk (which aired daily between 2002 and 2006), competing on Dancing with the Stars, and appearing as a main cast member in the reality TV program The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Soap Hub would like to wish Lisa Rinna a very happy birthday, and you can, too, by clicking on the Twitter link below.
