Today, Paulina may have talked to Marlena about her near-death — and ghost —experience. She even wondered if her extra-sensory perception skills were top-notch. However, in the April 4th episode of Days of Our Lives, the show gave us a glimpse into the potential future for a few characters: Alex, Theresa, Brady, and maybe even Holly and Tate.
During Tate’s (Jamie Martin Mann — whose last day was today) and Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) catch-up conversation, the topic of discussion veered from Tate’s release to something a little bit juicier. It all started when Alex asked Theresa’s son how he got out of the halfway house and ankle monitor. And Tate told him that Holly (Ashley Puzemis) finally fessed up. Alex realized Tate covered for Holly because of his feelings. Alex couldn’t believe it and said he didn’t think he could forgive anybody who screwed him over like that.
The Future: Theresa (Emilly O’Brien) better watch out because she is totally screwing Alex over and he doesn’t know it. Once he finds out she engineered his being Victor’s (John Aniston) son to get to his inheritance (and worked with John Kapelos’s Konstantin to boot), it’s over. The Ice Age between Theresa and Alex begins.
Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa’s past is beyond toxic and chaotic. Brady hasn’t even considered reuniting with Theresa despite that kiss they shared weeks ago. Lately, they worked together to get their son through this crisis. Theresa moved back out of Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John’s (Drake Hogestyn) townhouse, and suddenly, Brady showed warm feelings that clearly had to do with Theresa. What is he getting himself into? (Soap Hub says Happy Birthday to Jessica Serfaty [Sloan Petersen] here.)
The Future: Lovefool Brady has been doing so well. His single status is a good thing. He’s working on being a better dad and doing the Basic Black thing. And putting out fires as they come at him. Falling for Theresa again, no matter how mature she’s acting, isn’t the wisest decision. He has no idea that any second her world will turn back into a disaster of Jurassic Park proportions. What she’s doing to Alex and what she’s doing with Konstantin will not win her any favors. And Brady won’t appreciate her actions either. Consider their future complicated and up in the air.
How about this for irony? Now that Tate’s out of the halfway house, Holly is heavily grounded. She can’t leave the massive DiMera mansion and he can go anywhere he wants (except Holly’s place). In amazing scenes that played out today, Nicole (an excellent Arianne Zucker) and Holly went toe to toe. They both expressed a lot of hurt, pain, and anger about the past and the present.
The Future: But let’s talk about the future. Holly and Tate (find out who plays Tate starting tomorrow here) got a glimpse of it when, right after part one of Holly and Nicole’s confrontation, Nicole went to bed and Tate snuck in. They briefly kissed and before Nicole could come back, Tate made a sneaky exit. So, potentially, their future will involve scheming and plotting for private time. Plus, listening to their parents who don’t want them to see each other. This means get ready for drama, plenty of angst, and romance. Tate and Holly are a couple to watch.
