Days of our Lives just pulled a classic soap move – a big-time SORAS! Arianna Horton, the daughter of Gabi Hernandez and Will Horton, is no longer a sweet little child running around Salem. Nope, she’s officially been aged up, and recast and Cherie Jimenez is here for it.
Our Girl’s All Grown Up!
The news dropped that newcomer Marissa Reyes (read all about it here) is stepping into the role of Arianna, and fans immediately turned to social media for any sign of how Gabi’s portrayer felt about the change. And Cherie? She kept it short, sweet, and totally mom-coded. “I am over the moon. Best thing to happen to Gabi. Thank you #Days writers for bringing my beauty home,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter). If that isn’t the perfect blend of shock and love, we don’t know what is!
Arianna’s SORAS Surprise!
Let’s rewind for a second. Arianna was born from the rollercoaster love story of Gabi and Will (Chandler Massey). They were a pairing that started with drama, detoured through tragedy, and ended in mutual love for their daughter. Even when Will came out and began a new chapter with Sonny, his bond with Gabi remained strong because of Arianna.
Fans have watched little Ari grow up in the background, popping in for birthday scenes or family moments. But now, with this new recast, it looks like she’s ready to take center stage, and in Salem, that means love triangles, secrets, and at least one dramatic slap in the town square.
From Background to Big Drama
With Marissa Reyes stepping into the role, it’s clear the show has plans to give Arianna her own storyline. Could she be a mini-Gabi, full of sass and ambition? Or will she take after her dad, leading with heart and getting caught up in moral dilemmas? Maybe a mix of both. Either way, this move injects new energy into the teen scene, and we are so ready.
And with Cherie’s sweet reaction, we’re guessing Gabi’s about to go full protective mama bear. After all, Salem’s never been an easy town for any kid, let alone a Horton-Hernandez hybrid. Those two families never get a break!
