We Are Family: Days of our Lives’ Cherie Jimenez Hints Gabi Finds Happiness With Family

On Days of Our Lives, Gabi’s marriage is in shambles. She might not even see Stefan again, and his whereabouts are unclear. However, Gabi might find happiness with her reunited family. Cherie Jimenez is happy about this “family dynamic” unfolding on the Peacock soap. She also teased what fans could expect from her relatives. 

Family Reunion

Jimenez had a lengthy conversation with Woman’s World. She discussed the fan backlash she received for taking over the role of Gabi Hernandez (See How She Turns It Into a Positive Spin.) and hinted at what fans could expect from Al Calderon’s role as Javi.

“The family dynamic is my favorite,” Jimenez told the publication. “It brings out more of my personality. Viewers will see Gabi laugh and joke around more. She’s just happier.” 

Gabi has experienced some heavy moments lately. It’ll be nice for fans to see a different side to her. Gabi will rely on her family as she deals with the aftermath of her divorce. Jimenez teased that Gabi’s life would improve when Rafe (Galen Gering) wakes from his coma, and Javi (Al Calderon) reunites with the family. 

“I can’t tell you much except that Javi’s such a fun character and that he and Gabi have an awesome dynamic,” Jimenez said. “He brings more fun to the show and brings out a different side of Gabi. He allows her to be freer, but he also puts her in check and reminds her what’s important.”

Gabi might have to check herself regarding her marriage to Stefan (Brandon Barash). They could convince her not to go through with it. Jimenez believes that Stefan and Gabi are meant to be. Gabi will also go through a period of growth during this time.
