The Brady-Kiriakis Thanksgiving Serves Up a Feast of Questions on the November 26 Days of Our Lives

It’s a happy and drama-filled Thanksgiving for the Bradys and the Kiriakis clan. And now we have questions.

Days of Our Lives kicked off Thanksgiving with its Tuesday, November 26 episode. The Bradys and the Kiriakises converged on The Pub after Bonnie burned the turkey dinner. The celebration has just started, and there’s already a healthy serving of drama. Plus, it’s a side dish full of questions.

A Cornucopia of Questions

Depending on your perspective, did DAYS take a jab at or pay homage to its soap competitor, General Hospital?

When Bonnie (Judi Evans) burned the Kiriakis dinner, she called up Wally Kurth’s Justin, and he suggested that he pick up pizza for the family. Bonnie didn’t look happy about this option. Pizza is what the Quartermaine family ends up eating most Thanksgivings when their holiday inevitably goes up in smoke. And who is also a member of GH’s Quartermaines? Why that would be Wally Kurth, who does double duty on DAYS and GH. That was a fun reference.

Has Robert Scott Wilson’s Alex broken a record for the amount of consecutive time spent shirtless?

For a second, we thought Alex would even show up to the Bradiakis Thanksgiving celebration sans shirt. The guy has been shirtless since the Friday, November 22 episode, but we’re sure nobody’s complaining, right?

Did Alex really defend Xander?

First, did we know there was animosity between Alex and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier)? Is this just about Stephanie (Abigail Klein)? Second, it was still strange to hear Alex tell Philip to lighten up on Xander (Pau Telfer), who’s been through a lot lately. He must feel bad about inadvertently stealing Xander’s rightful spot as Victor’s (the late great John Aniston) heir.

Philip shouldn’t get Victor’s entire fortune, but he should get a cut of it, right?

He is Victor’s son, after all. Yes, he faked his death. But now that he’s back, he should be able to contest the will for a cut of the fortune without a forged letter. But Philip is a fairly greedy individual, so we’re sure it’s all or nothing with him.

How bad are things going to get between Philip and Xander?

Both Paul Telfer and John-Paul Lavoisier are fun actors to watch. It’d be great to see them as allies taking everybody else in Salem down, but first, let’s see how bad things get between the half-brothers. Who do you see winning?

Is Sarah bionic now? Is that one of the side effects of the serum?

Now that the serum has kicked in, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is making massive strides. And, if you watched today’s episode, we’re not just talking about her walking. She and Xander reconnected right when they got home from the hospital. Good for Sarah! She’s recovering quickly!

Is everyone geared up for the Alex-Stephanie-Philip triangle?

While we’d prefer Stephanie to be single for a bit, DAYS doesn’t seem to be going there. It looks like they’re doubling down with a love triangle, pitting Philip versus Alex with Stephanie in the middle. The 60th-anniversary sneak peek plays up the triangle, with Philip having the edge. Is it because of this faux obstacle that Alex and Stephanie can’t be together because they are coworkers at Body & Soul?

Will we see Vivian again, and will she ever blab about the forged letter?

The Vivian (Louise Sorel) factor remains in effect. Philip received a prison call today. Will she dangle her knowledge of the forged letter for as long as possible? Or will Philip or Kate have to deal with that loose end at some point? Will we get to see Vivian in jail?

Did Steve and Kayla just jinx themselves?

Was it just us, or did you get a bad feeling when Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) mentioned all the Thanksgivings she had without Steve (Stephen Nichols)? When he said, “It’s never going to happen again. I am never going to be apart from you ever again,” we couldn’t help but project the worst. For now, however, we will remain optimistic.
