It was just revealed on Days of our Lives that Peter Blake was the one who captured every last DiMera sibling and locked them in the crypt. While everyone initially thought EJ was bold enough to capture everyone, then lock himself in with them to feign innocence, this startling revelation is going to have repercussions for years to come. As viewers reel in shock and the story prepares to unfold in classic Salem fashion, the people behind the scenes had some fun on social media. It was a seasonal topic that was closely related to the show’s latest reveal, and the cast had some surprising and hilarious responses to share with the fans.

Key Takeaways

  • Peter Blake was revealed as the mastermind behind the DiMera crypt plot, not EJ.
  • DAYS marked the twist with a playful holiday Instagram video.
  • Nearly the entire cast named EJ as their holiday enemy of choice.
  • Dan Feuerriegel embraced the joke as fans happily joined the pile-on.

When Salem Picks a Fight

“The only thing colder than the weather? ❄️ Spending the holidays with your enemy. Who would you invite?” That’s exactly what the DAYS official Instagram page wrote, attaching a video that immediately turned into an EJ DiMera pile-on. John-Paul Lavoisier (Philip) went first, with a straight face, saying, “It would be EJ so that he could stab him in the face with a candy cane.” A gleeful Paul Telfer (Xander) followed, thoughtfully weighing his many enemies before settling on logistics. “Oh, so many enemies, so little time,” he said, adding that EJ’s mansion offered “a bit more room to party.”

Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) didn’t elaborate, stating simply, “The DiMeras.” Carson Boatman (Johnny) kept it personal for his character with, “It would have to be his dad, EJ.” Robert Scott Wilson (Alex) aimed for uneasy diplomacy, suggesting EJ so they could “bond and take over a little bit better instead of always being at each other’s throats.” Eric Martsolf (Brady) took a hard left, opting for EJ so they could “compare manscaping and beer tips.”

Dan Feuerriegel (EJ), taking the blows with composure, chose family. “Kristen. They are adversaries, but family,” he stated. Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) promptly refused the premise with, “I don’t have any enemies, so I don’t need to spend a holiday with one.” And AnnaLynne McCord (Cat) swerved entirely. “It’s Clyde Weston.” (Find out what Dan Gauthier said about Peter’s return.)

The Comments Get Involved

Feuerriegel leaned into the joke in the comments, writing, “You all just wanna totes kiss me 🙌,” which the show answered with, “@thedanfeuerriegel 😂😘.” Telfer contributed a single, knowing “☺️.” And Cherie Jimenez (Gabi) joined the fracas from the comments section with, “Haha. ‘Stab him in the face with a candy cane.’ 💀🤣 If I was part of this, my answer would also have been EJ 💣.”

Fans followed suit. One praised Haiduk with, “Good answer, Stacy, and in character.” Another admitted, “I love all their answers 😂.” Several zeroed in on EJ, ranging from “Poor EJ 😂” to “Everybody going after EJ? Okay, count me in, lol.” Someone else asked for “a DiMera Christmas like the Hortons,” while another simply summed it up: “Lol all the EJ love.”

In Salem, goodwill toward men stops the moment someone mentions EJ DiMera.
