On the May 22 episode of Days of Our Lives, Alex butted heads with Maggie again, but soon gave in to her demands. Later, Theresa put her plan into motion, with Alex wrapped around her little finger
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) was surprised to find Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) actually working at Titan. She informed him that Konstantin (John Kapelos) would need an office. Alex refused, but when she explained that they’re splitting Victor’s (John Aniston) estate equally and he has no say in the matter, he gave in. She’s going to put the Greek in Theresa’s old office so he can manage the charitable funds she’s set up with her inheritance. A smug Alex acquiesced, and informed her that he was moving back to the Kiriakis mansion, much to her chagrin. By setting up Konstantin with an office, Maggie’s put her plan to take him down into motion so that he has access to (and presumably would steal) Titan’s funds. At the end of the day, Alex is going to be blamed when Konstantin gets caught, and he’s going to find his back against the wall.
Alex was delighted to learn that the Horton house was completed, and the clan would be moving out, leaving more room for him and his new race horse. He’s been totally burning bridges lately by being mean to Maggie and a few others, and has been throwing money around as if it were candy. His entitled viewpoint has made him rude and obnoxious, and when the time comes that Xander (Paul Telfer) is revealed to be the true heir to Victor’s fortune, Alex is going to crash and burn in a major way.
Alex went back to his apartment, and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) was surprised to see him. He reminded her that he was moving back to the mansion immediately. Theresa aggressively moved forward with her plan to steal his money by pretending to be sad and insinuating that he should ask her to live with him. When he brought up the topic, she said she didn’t want to seem like she was inviting herself, and, using her vast passive-aggressive skills, got him to invite her instead. They hugged, starting to get hot and heavy, and she had a triumphant look on her face as her plan was set into motion.
She totally manipulated him because Alex is basically low-hanging fruit. Plus, he called Kristen (Stacey Haiduk) again, this time to delay their plans for rolling in the hay as he was moving right away. By keeping Kristen on the side, the Kiriakis scion is spreading himself too thin, and sooner or later, he’s going to get caught. Even Brady (Eric Martsolf) asked Theresa at one point what she was going to do about Alex’s relationship with Kristen, and she blew it off, saying there was no relationship. She’s aware he’d been fooling around with her, so it will be interesting to see what plan she concocts to take Kristen down as well. It’s conceivable that she’ll let Alex go on seeing Kristen in what he thinks is a secret, and when she fleeces him for all he’s worth, the DiMera will go down with him.
Brady and Theresa were talking about how they’re both going to be chaperones at Tate’s prom, and Theresa said, “Let’s just hope there aren’t any telekinetic kids who want to exact their revenge,” to which Brady replied, “Theresa, this is Salem. They’re probably everywhere.”
This, of course, is a reference to the horror film Carrie from 1976, starring Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie, which was written by Stephen King and directed by Brian De Palma.
