Will appears to be alive and well, which means there’s major drama ahead on Days of Our Lives (DOOL).
His resurrection has conjured up thoughts about which other Salemites we’d like to see get a new lease on life. After all, Will (Chandler Massey) is just one of many sorely missed characters, who was rendered six feet under.
Here are four others we’d love to see DAYS bring back from the dead.
Jack
Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) elevator crash death during an explosion in 2012 allowed the character to exit a hero. He pushed daughter Abigail to safety before plummeting to his demise.
However, it came out of nowhere, since Jack and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) had finally reconciled and gotten engaged. Since his exit, Jennifer’s storylines have been few and far between. Plus, the soap missed the chance to explore a JJ (Casey Moss) and Jack dynamic; particularly, JJ’s concerns that he could gravitate toward his father’s dark side.
EJ
The DiMera dynasty has been lacking since EJ’s (James Scott) murder. His constant struggle between good and evil would have made him the perfect man to succeed Stefano at the helm of the family’s empire and go head-to-head with Kate (Lauren Koslow).
Plus, he’d have been the perfect brother to bridge the gap between Chad (Billy Flynn) and Andre (Thaao Penghlis). Scott was one of the show’s most charismatic leading men. Alison Sweeney’s (Sami) departure only opened up the door for him to embark on a myriad of new directions and love interests.
Bo
DAYS’ decision to bring back Bo (Peter Reckell) only to have him quickly succumb to a brain tumor in 2015 was one of its worst. He was the heart and soul of the Bradys for decades and half of the beloved Bo/Hope supercouple. His exit has left a permanent hole in the soap’s core.
Ciara’s teen woes would have been far more interesting if her protective father had been on hand to help her through them. And no matter how hard the soap tries, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) will never have another relationship that measures up to the one she shared with her soulmate.
Paige
True O’Brien’s recent Halloween guest appearance evoked thoughts of what could be, if Paige somehow rose from the dead a la Will.
Her character died without reconnecting with her father Eduardo (A Martinez) or getting to know her sister Gabi (Camila Banus). Imagine the triangle the soap could have if they had both young women reconnecting with JJ?
And Paige’s relationship with her mama Eve (Kassie DePaiva) was always an intriguing blend of combativeness and intense love. The character’s death has left a huge void in Eve’s life that’s never been filled.
