Nadia Bjorlin Speaks Out On Her Days of Our Lives Exit

From her start as “Ghoul Girl” to the beauty we know her as today, Nadia Bjorlin has entertained Days of Our Lives fans on and off for years. Now, the actress is set to take a hiatus from the show when Chloe gets an out of town job offer for the opera season.

Her last air date is set for Thursday, August 29. Will she be back to Salem…or is another soap in her future? Bjorlin chatted with Soap Hub about her plans and has a special message for her supporters.

What would you like to say to your fans?
In a nutshell, I’m grateful that they’ve hung in there for all these years and going with me on this journey. I’ve been so blessed to have played this character and tell these stories. This could be a hiatus or it could be forever. Stay tuned.

Chloe’s going away for an “opera season” – how long is that?
That’s a good question! I think it would be a few months. Maybe September through March?

What’s been keeping you busy since leaving DAYS?
My two sons [Torin and Viggo] keep me busy! I’m going to Boston next month to shoot the second season of [web series] Beacon Hill.

My character, Susan, is wed to John Paul Lavoisier’s character, Eric, which is ironic since he was the last Philip on DAYS. Susan feels her husband should be much further along in his political career and she’ll help him get there by any means.

I just did a movie called Faith Based, and I also shot a part in Kyle Lowder’s (ex-Rex, DAYS) movie A Mermaid For Christmas. I play his dead wife and he doesn’t know if he can move past her.

Speaking of Kyle, it looked as if the show was going to put Chloe and Rex together, capitalizing on the chemistry you had together when he was Brady.
I felt that they were going [in that direction], but changes happen very quickly [in daytime] and the show had to make some choices and we were cut. We worked together some and it was fun. It was funny because Chloe never really interacted with Rex the first time around.

The banter scenes between Chloe and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is always fun to watch. Susan included some of that on her Emmy reel last year.
Susan is such a pro. I love working with her. I think I was on three or four reels that year! (Laughs) “You’re welcome and thank you!” It actually makes me feel good that people feel comfortable working with me.

Are open to doing another soap?
Yes. I am. I’d love to play another role and I have so many friends on other shows. I’ve been loving being at home more with my kids but it’d be nice [to get back to work where] I could come home and have dinner with them.

In primetime and films, you never know your schedule. My boys are still young enough where it makes me nervous to leave them for so long. Working in daytime’s ideal.
