On Days of our Lives, Hope has left Rafe in the lurch, and he lost David. Nicole’s husband, Eric, is somewhere on the content of Africa, saving people. He’s alone. She’s alone. For his birthday, she dragged him out for some forced fun and got him a teddy bear.
Now that she’s no longer busy browbeating Allie (Lindsay Arnold) into recalling first one guy then another as her rapist from a night she’s already said she can’t remember, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) needs something else to do. Does Rafe (Galen Gering) fit the bill? How almost 5,000 viewers feel about the possibility of that:
This was a real squeaker, but 52% of you prevailed to say yes, you’d be open to the pairing! Rafe is basically a free man. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) has made it clear that she’s just not all that into him. As for Nicole… well, that’s a little trickier. She and Eric (Greg Vaughan) are finally married. But he left her. For noble reasons, sure. But an empty bed is an empty bed.
And it’s not like Nicole always knew he was her one true love. Remember EJ? Daniel? And then there was Brady (Eric Martsolf). Nicole has had a lot of true loves. And then she’s moved on. Rafe seems like a logical next step.
Then again, an almost equal 48% of the audience is horrified by the idea. Rafe is Rafe is Rafe, he can do whatever he wants. But you’ve been rooting for Nicole and Eric for literally years! She came back from death for him! And now she can’t wait for him to finish up at work?
Nicole and Eric are meant to be! Nicole and Rafe are meant to be… friends. Rafe can cuddle up at night with the teddy, and Nicole can just… wait. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
