We all realize that Nicole misses Eric on Days of our Lives. If we can barely remember what he looked like, we can only imagine how his neglected wife must feel.
But to the point where she is eyeing Rafe (Galen Gering) with interest? What’s going on here? Over 2,000 fans have their theories:
A majority 47% of the audience figures she’s just jealous that Rafe is being nice to Ava (Tamara Braun). Nicole (Arianne Zucker) keeps looking for something to distract her from Eric (Greg Vaughan) being gone.
She became obsessed with Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) baby drama. That worked for a while. Then there was Charlie’s (Mike Manning) murder, and now there’s Rafe and Ava. Butting into other people’s business sure beats taking a good, hard look at her own.
An almost equal 44% are willing to give Nicole the benefit of the doubt. She’s just lonely. Not only is her husband missing, but her houseguest is capable of finally looking after herself, and her daughter is also seemingly invisible.
We never see Nicole parenting Holly, so what else is there for her to do? She’s going to try and keep Ava away from Rafe as a way to keep her mind from melting into babbling goo.
A last-place 9% of the voters see a Nicole who is acting perfectly in character. From the first day, she believed she was all that and a bag of chips. Nicole expects every man within her sight-line to fall madly in love with her. This includes Rafe. And Nicole being married has nothing to do with it.
