Days Of Our Lives is famous for its enchanting young heroines. Once upon a time, Julie fit that bill.
So did Kayla (Mary Beth Stewart), and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). We’ve lost Abigail (Kate Mansi) recently. Who should step up and grab at the leading young lady banner? Almost 10,000 fans split the vote:
Legacy Love
Definitely Ciara (Victoria Konefal), 83% of you cheer. She’s the daughter of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope. Granddaughter of Doug (Bill Hayes), Shawn and Caroline (Peggy McCay), great-granddaughter of the one and only Tom (Macdonald Carey) and Alice (Frances Reid) Horton.
The girl is the epicenter of Salem, and all stories for the younger crowd should naturally flow through her.
For 12%, Haley (Thia Megia) is the one to watch. You know why? Because look at Ciara’s pedigree above — she’s related to nine-tenths of the town!
Ciara’s romantic prospects are extremely limited. Everyone is either a cousin or a step-something. Haley, on the other hand, is a blank slate — assuming no mysterious birth parents suddenly pop out of the woodwork.
She’s a potential love interest for JJ (Casey Moss), Tripp (Lucas Adams), Joey, if he ever gets out of prison. That’s a heroine you can build a show around!
Outcast
Only 3% of the audience has any warm and/or fuzzy feelings for Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan), despite her having a bloodline almost as storied as Ciara’s. She’s also a Brady, and a Black, too!
But she’s also, what’s the word we’re looking for, a straight up attempted murder! She set Ciara on fire! And she’s told a bunch of lies, too. This girl is not Salem heroine material. On the other hand, a young Sami (Alison Sweeny) in the making…
