Alison Sweeney has a new mystery series ready to premiere on Hallmark and she can’t wait to share the details.
The Days of Our Lives fan favorite posted a first glimpse look at her new project on Instagram.
“Yay! It’s thrilling that I finally get to share the movie poster for my new mystery series with @hallmarkmovie ! @chroniclemysteries is officially premiering Sunday, February 17th — so mark your calendar!! @benjaminayres & I are so excited for you to finally meet these great characters!”
Rebecca Staab (ex-April, The Young and the Restless; ex-Elizabeth, Port Charles; ex-Cecilia, Loving; and ex-Jessie, Guiding Light) is also starring in the flick.
She’s also known these days as William deVry’s (Julian, General Hospital) other half. An appearance by fellow beloved soap vet Linda Dano was announced late last year.
Sweeney isn’t just starring in this new vehicle — she is also producing it, alongside veteran soap writer Melissa Salmons, who has also written this film.
As for Sweeney’s DAYS future, it looks like she might be back for the show’s tribute to the late Peggy McCay when they have a memorial for her character, Caroline Brady. But could that stay be extended?
She’s already appeared in a couple of story arcs since head writer Ron Carlivati took over head writing duties on the longtime NBC soap, so it seems she’s willing to come back for any story he writes for her.
It usually depends on schedules working out. Here’s hoping we’ll see another Sami return in Salem in 2019.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
