Let It Go: Does Stefan Need A Brand-New Storyline on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL)?

Stefan came to Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) with one goal in mind – take over DiMera Enterprises with the help of his long-lost mama.

Then he developed another goal – get Abigail (Marci Miller) away from Chad (Billy Flynn). Now he wants revenge on Kate (Lauren Koslow) for killing said mama.

None of those stories have exactly set the world on fire, even if Tyler Christopher remains a fan fave. So is it time for a completely new tale for Stefan? Here’s how almost 5,000 feel:

You Have To Move On
Yes, please, 90% of you order. You are so tired of Stefan the obsessed. None of it makes sense. Stefan barely knew Vivian (Louise Sorel). And Abigail wasn’t exactly herself when they were together.

He knew she was basically just a manifestation of his sister-in-law’s mental illness. As for DiMera Enterprises… doesn’t Stefan already have enough companies? And enough money?

How about Stefan develop some less crazy interests? And maybe a love interest who is actually in her right mind. He can start his road to redemption by giving Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) the bionic eye technology she needs for Steve (Stephan Nichols).

And then he can move on. Oh, and get over the Kate thing. Reports of your mother’s deaths might still turn out to have been greatly exaggerated.

If It Ain’t Broke
For 9% of the audience, however, Stefan is on the right track, and he should stay the course.

He has a business story, he has a love story, and he has a revenge story. That’s the soap opera character trifecta! Stefan is exactly where he should be, doing exactly what he should be.

You can’t wait to see which of his obsessions Stefan conquers first – and what he will then replace it with? Nothing will ever make Stefan truly happy. And that makes viewers happy.
