Just when everything looked like it might work out for Kristen and Brady on Days of Our Lives comes the news that Stacy Haiduk is leaving the soap and Kristen is leaving Salem via Paris.

According to the May 18 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Haiduk and Kristen exit the canvas next week after Kristen and Brady finally track down Sarah and Rachel. The problem is, Kristen is wanted for stabbing Victor and they know she can’t go back to Salem to raise her baby.
So, Brady and Kristen make the heartbreaking decision for Kristen to go on the run with Rachel — which means Brady is left alone once again and without one of his children. (Theresa has Tate out in California.)
This is a surprising exit as Days of Our Lives has spent months trying to redeem Kristen after all the terrible things she’s done through the decades and it looked like she and Brady really had a chance. But alas, it was not meant to be.

Kristen started out as a sympathetic character in the 1990s as played by Eileen Davidson but eventually, her obsession with John Black revealed how unstable she was and how low she would go to keep John to herself.
She was presumed dead for many years, but Davidson’s Kristen returned to Salem in 2012, and rather than going after John, she fell for and became obsessed with John’s son, Brady. That obsession with Brady led her to do even more crazy things, including stealing an embryo right out of Theresa’s womb and carrying the child to term herself. That child was Tate, Brady’s son.
In 2017, Haiduk took over the role and has played her off and on ever since. With Kristen just going on the run, the door is open for her return, so we’ll still have to stay tuned and see what happens. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
