When Marci Miller left her role as Abigail on Days of Our Lives, Kate Mansi, who originated the part as an adult – she’s the Abigail who dated Ben and gave birth to Thomas – stepped back into the role.
It’s supposed to be a short stint. Fans are speculating Mansi will only stick around long enough for Abigail and Chad to ride off into the sunset with their kids.
But, should Mansi stick around even if Billy Flynn is out? Here’s what almost 9,000 had to say.
Please, Don’t Go
Absolutely, 92% cheer. She’s the original Abigail, the one who had an affair with EJ (James Scott) and cheated on Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) with Chad. (He may have gone totally loony, but Abigail didn’t exactly treat him well.)
Mansi is also the one who was playing Abigail the last time Jack (Matthew Ashford) was on the canvas. So, not only do they have a real history together, it makes the flashbacks easier.
There’s also still lots more story for Abigail. Her relationship with Stefan (Tyler Christopher) is one big question mark.
And she’s a Horton, which means she’s a part of a core family in Salem. Plus, Abigail hasn’t come close to working her way through all the men in town. No one is allowed to leave until they have.
Don’t Let the Door Hit You
It’s nice to have Mansi to finish Miller’s storyline, but once that’s done, Chabby can go, a tiny 8% assert.
Their story has run its course. You expect them to get back together, pack up their kids – and all the crap that comes with having kids – and go… somewhere else.
Maybe Chad can take that Paris job he just offered Eve (Kassie DePaiva). Abby has so many good memories of visiting London with her family, she should be happy to go, too.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
