Jennifer and Eric: Perfect Couple or Total Mismatch?

Jennifer and Eric’s on again/off again relationship on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) appears to be back on, now that the mixup over Eric’s feelings for Nicole has been straightened out.

The twosome came together in unusual fashion when they were both battling addictions. At the time, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) was hooked on pain pills, while Eric (Greg Vaughan) turned to the bottle and fell into alcoholism.

It all led to one night of passion and the start of a complicated relationship. But is this duo a perfect couple or a total mismatch? You be the judge.

They hail from two of the most respected families in Salem. He’s a Brady. She’s a Horton. Some would say that’s the perfect recipe for soap supercouple success.

They’re both do-gooders. Jennifer is devoted to her children, Abigail (Marci Miller) and JJ (Casey Moss) and always there for her cousin Hope (Kristian Alfonso).

Plus, she worked tirelessly on Abe’s mayoral campaign and did PR for the hospital before returning to The Spectator. Meanwhile, Eric served as a priest for years and now works helping others at the Horton Center.

In a weird twist, Jennifer and Eric have both spent considerable time in Africa. Jennifer, her late husband, Jack, and Abigail visited her father Bill there for a long stint in 2016, while Eric once worked as a photographer in the Congo.

Madly Mismatched
Eric has never taken the marital plunge, which makes one wonder if he’s commitment phobic. Meanwhile, Jennifer is anything but. She’s tied the knot five times. She wed Lawrence Alamain in 1990, Peter Blake in 1995, Frankie Brady in 2006, and true love Jack in 1991 and 2003.

Eric, who was shipped off to school in Colorado as a boy, grew up to be a loner. He’s spent his whole adult life living alone. Jennifer, on the other hand, is used to a full house. She lived with her grandparents as a teenager and raised two children with Jack.

While Eric is often moody, quiet, and a bit of an introvert, Jennifer is upbeat, positive and always raring to go. Eric also tends to keep his feelings to himself, while Jennifer wears her heart on her sleeve.
