Jack Is BACK To Save His Son On Days of Our Lives

It looks like whenever a Deveraux soul needs saving on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) the last few years, it takes a spirit from beyond to make that happen.

And that’s just what we’ll see again next week on DAYS when JJ contemplates killing himself after the guilt over shooting Theo becomes too much for him to bear.

Like Jennifer and Abby before him when they needed the advice of their dearly departed husband and father, respectively, Jack returns as a conjured up spirit and beloved DAYS vet Matthew Ashford was thrilled to come back for such an important story.

“This is a really intense story we’re in,” Ashford said in the December 25 issue of Soap Opera Digest.

“It’s never easy when people are considering losing their lives, and it shouldn’t be treated lightly, especially considering everything that’s going on with people and young people these days. The show is taking it pretty seriously.”

JJ’s crisis comes when he’s exonerated for shooting Theo and gets his job back. Since his conscience is still telling him he did something very, very wrong, he can’t handle his newfound fortune.

This creates an episode completely for JJ on December 20 where he starts writing goodbye letters, remembers his life, and contemplates plans to end it after saying farewell to his mother.

“It’s important that we tell these stories and bring it to light,” Casey Moss told Digest. “I’m glad DAYS can help people who may be struggling.”
