The Days of Our Lives version on NBC may be set a year in the future, but the Last Blast Reunion app series on the DOOL App feels like it’s set in the past! Just as characters did circa 2003-04, folks are dropping like flies!
In this week’s episode, it appears that Jan Spears, played by Heather Lindell, is the one who has been killing characters from the Last Blast high school era. But is she really the killer?
Jan, as viewers recall, was obsessed with Shawn (Brandon Beemer) back in the day and went so far as to keep him in a cage to keep her all to himself. Fortunately, Shawn escaped. Later, Jan fell into a coma 15 (!) years ago after falling and hitting her head during a fight with Mimi (then, Farah Fath; now, Teressa Laine).
Now, Jan’s wide awake and is clearly still obsessed with Shawn! Is she really the one who killed Kevin (Chadwick Hopson), Mimi, and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin)? Or will somehow the beloved characters be brought back to the land of the living?
When the Salem Serial Killer bumped off several characters years ago, it was later revealed that they’d been whisked away before departing this mortal realm and taken to an island known as Melaswen (which is New Salem, spelled backward).
Another way out would be to reveal that this whole ordeal has been someone’s nightmare! It’s interesting to note that the character deaths on the DOOL App story aren’t being referenced on DAYS. Time will tell if there’s a reason for that or not!
The Last Blast Reunion series can be found on the DOOL App. If you don’t have it, you can download it by clicking here. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
