As families in real-life gather for reunions on Thanksgiving week, so will characters from Salem who are in New York City as Days of Our Lives launches a new digital series Last Blast Reunion. And the cast keeps getting more impressive as Patrika Darbo will be a part of it.
Days of Our Lives In New York City
Soap Opera Digest reports that Darbo is reprising her role as Nancy, Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) mom, in the app-series available via the DOOL App. The DOOL App launched original content earlier this year with the two chapters of Chad and Abby in Paris, starring Billy Flynn (Chad) and Kate Mansi (Abby) both of whom returned to the broadcast series on NBC following the conclusion of the second set of app-isodes.
As previously reported, Belle (Martha Madison) and Chloe run into each other in New York on Thanksgiving week, and soon, a reunion of the Last Blast gang gets underway. Watch for Brandon Beemer (Shawn) and Philip (Jay Johnson) and others to reprise their roles, too.
Darbo made the scene in Salem in 1998 as conniving Nancy Wesley, who schemed to position her husband Craig (Kevin Spirtas) as Salem University Hospital’s chief of staff. Nancy’s story widened upon the introduction of Chloe, who was revealed to be Craig’s daughter.
Later, Nancy gave birth to Craig’s second daughter, Joy, who turned out to be a bone marrow match for Chloe, who had been diagnosed with leukemia. Craig, Nancy, and Joy left Salem in 2005, and Darbo has made sporadic appearances on DAYS since then as Chloe has needed her mom!
While away from DAYS, Patrika Darbo has appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Shirley Spectra, the sister of the Sally (the late Darlene Conley). The actress has also appeared on the series Acting Dead as Margot Muller, which earned her a Prime Time Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series in 20016. Darbo has also played Mickey on the digital series The Bay. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
