On Thursday’s episode of Days of our Lives, Li Shin, as played by Remington Hoffman, confidently strode into the DiMera mansion and announced that EJ DiMera was out as CEO and Chad DiMera was in. Shin and Chad are old friends from their days in Paris (as seen on the web episodes of 2019), but isn’t it time the dashing businessman made his home in Salem…permanently?
Days of our Lives: Fresh Blood
Let’s face it, DAYS is way, way too interbred. Everyone is either a Horton, a Brady, a DiMera, or a Black…most are more than one. This makes the dating pool awfully shallow. It’s why we were so excited to get relative newcomers like Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), who were only related to a handful of people, instead of the entire town. And Li Shin could be an equally welcome addition.
Family Ties
Of course, knowing how DAYS loves to make everyone related and tie them into the canvas somehow – see, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) – we suppose it’s inevitable that they’ll make Shin the long-lost love who fathered Melinda Trask’s (Tina Huang) late daughter, Hayley. (Why tie him to Trask specifically? Well, Days of our Lives isn’t exactly… diverse in either their casting… or their matchmaking.) He will not have known about the girl, she’ll get a dramatic scene telling him all about her and, by the end of it, Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk), who killed Hayley, will have a new – and very powerful – enemy. One who can take over her family’s company in revenge. Cool, cool, cool. Now we’ve got a story!
Big World
Heck, just like Lani Price’s (Sal Stowers) arrival eventually lead to a whole new family in Salem, Shin’s could do the same thing. He must have some brothers… cousins… uncles? Each one is at least as hot as him. Now we’ve got a dynasty!
