Sami hits Salem this week, when Alison Sweeney returns to Days of Our Lives (DOOL).
The fiery character will immediately thrust herself into the mix of some major storylines, starting with the show’s biggest mystery: Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) claim that Will (Chandler Massey) is alive. And that’s just for openers. Here’s a rundown of what DAYS viewers can expect.
Grave Decision
Sami resurfaces to find John (Drake Hogestyn) and Paul (Christopher Sean) at the cemetery with shovels in hand, digging up Will’s resting place.
“Tell me what the hell you think you’re doing to my son’s grave,” she spats. While she’s understandably outraged, it’s most likely Sami will come around and give permission for Will’s body to be exhumed. It could lead to the miracle she’s longed for – her first born son still being alive.
Sober Up
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) has been off the rails since “Adrienne” (Judi Evans) dumped him. So far, no one has been able to reach him, let alone get him back on the straight and narrow.
Who better to get him to face his demons and sober up than his ex-wife Sami? She’s always been able to communicate with Lucas better than anyone. And, when it comes to doling out tough love, nobody’s better.
Settling the Score
If — and let’s face it, we all know it’s when — it’s revealed that Will is alive, there will be lots of questions to be answered. Where is he? Who squired him off and kept him away from his family? Why did they want everyone to believe he was dead?
Sami, no doubt, will lead the charge to find her son and settle the score with the person who masterminded the sinister plot. And, knowing Sami, there will be major hell to pay.
Woman in the Middle
Will’s resurrection will likely bring out the meddling mother in Sami. She’ll want her son to make up for lost time and get back on track to a happily ever after. That, of course, probably won’t bode well for Sonny (Freddie Smith) and new love, Paul.
Knowing Sami, she’ll do everything in her power to make sure Will reunites with his husband, and she’ll use whatever means necessary to make it happen.
Oh Brothers!
With another woman having come between Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Brady (Eric Martsolf), the stepbrothers are about to be on the major outs, again. Sami will likely be incensed to learn it’s Nicole (Arianne Zucker) who caused it.
The timing’s perfect for the two nemeses to have their final showdown. Then, Sami can be the good sister, step in, and broker peace between Eric and Brady.
