How Vivian And Stefan Re-Energized Days of Our Lives And The DiMeras

Salem has been brimming with action, drama, and sexual tension since dynamic duo Vivian and Stefan arrived on the scene. The one-two punch of Louise Sorel and Tyler Christopher, perfectly cast as mother and son, has re-energized Days of Our Lives.

And it’s seamlessly steered it in a new direction, just as two major stories were wrapping up: the Will’s (Chandler Massey) alive mystery and the poignant resolution of JJ (Casey Moss) shooting Theo (Kyler Pettis) in the line of duty.

All in the Family
Without missing a beat, the mighty DiMeras have taken center stage, and every single member of their dysfunctional family is heavily in the mix.

Having the gang all live under the same roof keeps them in each other’s hair, round the clock; not to mention paves the way for lots of uncomfortable confrontations. Plus, there’s a fabulous new set, their company’s posh offices, where lots of the daytime drama is playing out.

Vivian vs. Kate
With Vivian back as her number one enemy, Kate (Lauren Koslow) is suddenly vital again and it’s brought out the tigress in her. The two women’s loathing of one another is evident in every scene, and their bickering and barb exchanges are vastly entertaining.

There’s no one better than Sorel at delivering off-the-cuff insults with a smile. Her Vivian has a way of getting under Kate’s skin and pushing her buttons, no matter how hard she tries to deny it.

Brother vs. Brother
Stefan’s introduction has ignited a fire in Chad and actor Billy Flynn, something that had been missing since Robert Scott Wilson’s departure as Ben. Chad has an adversary the likes of which he’s never seen before; a cool yet cunning halfsibling.

And he’s come out fighting to protect his turf — both at work and on the home front. Right now, it’s a subtle fight, but it’s seems destined to emerge into a full-on battle royal.

Playing with Fire
Perhaps the most intriguing relationship brewing is the one between Stefan and Abigail (Marci Miller). Stefan’s made no secret that he’s intrigued by his brother’s wife and constantly toys with her, as Christopher aptly keeps the sexual tension percolating between them in every scene.

Best of all, Stefan’s done his homework. Not only does he know all about Abigail’s fragile mental history and complicated past with Chad, but he’s also trying to reignite her insecurities regarding Gabi (Camila Banus) being a threat to her marriage — and it all makes for intriguing drama!
