What exactly is going on at the DiMera house on Days of our Lives? Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) are holding down the fort… while Jake (Brandon Barash) is still trying to find his place, and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is sneaking about, trying to poison Abby… for some reason. Are fans intrigued or confused?
Days of our Lives Polling: Please Explain Yourself
It was a real squeaker but, in the end, 51% of you went with “confusing and contrived” to describe the current DiMera shenanigans. Why does Gwen, all of a sudden, have a beef with Abigail? And not all of a sudden, either. It would seem that Gwen has been up to no good since before we knew she was on the canvas. An explanation would be nice.
Meanwhile, Kate (Lauren Koslow) is spending more time than she absolutely needs to with a shirtless Jake. We realize many women would do the same. But an explanation would be nice.

If DAYS wants us to care about these characters and what they’re doing, they should explain what and why they’re doing it. Otherwise, you’re sticking with “confused and contrived,” thank you very much.
Opposite View
Then again, an almost equal 49% of Days of our Lives fans think it’s a fun setup – so much could happen with all those different people under one roof. With Gwen taking care of Thomas and Charlotte, she has a reason to be everywhere and talk to anyone – especially Chad. Especially while his wife is at work. She can also keep running into Jake. Why should Kate have all the shirtless fun?
