Earlier this week, Days of our Lives star Lauren Koslow had to say goodbye to her beloved dog, but the experience was made a little easier by the outpouring of love and condolences she received. Now, she wants people to know that she’s grateful for their kindness.
Lauren Koslow Gives Thanks
The actress who brings Kate DiMera to life took to her Instagram account to make sure her followers know how much their kind words during this difficult time have meant to her.
“Thank you so much everyone for your loving condolences, messages of support and for sharing your stories of furbaby love and loss,” began Koslow. “It brought me to tears but reminded me that we all eventually suffer grief with great love – and that’s okay. Love is well worth that price.
“So yes, I will continue to rescue and adopt and hopefully create a rescue in Fergie’s name sometime down the road. For today thank you for the outpouring of love,” she wrote.

Koslow then decided to share something meaningful she received, in an effort to help others who may be going through a hard time as well. “My dear friend @carriesakscreative sent me the following quote & I hope it’s comforting to everyone who’s suffered a loss of a beloved animal,” she wrote before sharing the following quote.
“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.”
But the actress wasn’t done. She also shared a message from Instagram user @jen.melchor saying, “pretty much sums it all up – thanks Jen #fergie #kozquotes #adoptdontshop #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #rescuedogsofinstagram.” She included it as the second image below but it reads as follows:
“So very sorry for the loss of your loved one. Sometimes our most beloved family members – the best listeners, the biggest motivators, the most loyal companions, and our fiercest protectors – well, they have fur.
