The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, May 23 features reports of Vivian’s death being greatly exaggerated, because she’s very much alive… but who has her?!
Heavy Handed?
Chad (Billy Flynn) tried to bargain with Trask and get her to back down, warning she’d never get Abby convicted. He said if she loses, she’d never win another election.
He told her Abby should plead to a lesser charge, and then she could play the hero by accepting it and letting Gabi return to her daughter. She seemed to agree.
Mama Mia
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) was shocked when Abigail (Marci Miller) told her she was confessing and may go to prison. Abby was determined to recover and atone while keeping her loved ones safe. Jennifer tried to talk her out of it.
Angry Son
Rafe (Galen Gering) stopped by the DiMera mansion and noticed Chad and Abby’s bags were packed as he taunted Stefan (Tyler Christopher). Rafe wanted more details about the night his mother died.
Pay the Piper?
Kate (Lauren Koslow) was impressed to hear how well Leo (Greg Rikaart) set up Sonny. When he asked for his money, she admitted to cash flow problems, which upset him.
Later, Kate went to her former office to clear it out and ‘saw’ Andre (Thaao Penghlis). He told her she didn’t have more scruples than him, not after what she did to Vivian. Rafe’s call interrupted them and he told her she might escape charges.
Kate remembered Vivian taunting her and shooting Vivian outright. Elsewhere, Vivian woke up in a dark room, wondering where she was. She was shocked when a mystery person, whom she recognized, entered the room.
Deep Betrayal?
Sonny (Freddie Smith) told Adrienne (Judi Evans) and later Will (Chandler Massey) that he and Leo were dating again — even mentioning to Will they should double date sometime.
Later, Will ran into Leo, who offered him an exclusive on the story of the year. Back at the mansion, Sonny was served with papers telling him Leo was suing him for sexual harassment.
