At the moment, it looks like Chad and Abby may never find happiness on Days of Our Lives.
After all, he just spent some cozy time locked in a freezer with Gabi (Camila Banus), and Abby (Marci Miller) found the pair in various states of undress.
Later this week, Chad will confess to his back-from-the-dead wife that he harbors some feelings for Gabi, breaking Abby’s heart.
But, all hope is not lost according to DAYS Executive Producer Ken Corday. While he admits to Soap Opera Digest that the pair has a long road ahead of them to get back to how happy they were a year ago, they are still the couple to root for.
“Chad and Abby are a rooting interest for the viewers, and they’re going to have to go through a lot of hurdles, but they’re the end game,” Corday said in the February 27 issue of SOD.
So, where does that leave poor Gabi if, after all is said and done, Chad (Billy Flynn) will choose to be with his wife and son?

Perhaps she’ll catch Eli’s eye, although we won’t see him on screen until later this week.
And, if Chad and Abby are the end game, when does the game end? With DAYS taping months in advance and a new writer (Ron Carlivati) penning stories that won’t air till summer, fans might have to do a whole lot of waiting and hanging in there to finally see a payoff.
