Freddie Smith is ready to take that next step with girlfriend and partner, Alyssa Tabit — but exactly when remains a mystery.
The handsome Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star, who plays Sonny Kiriakis, took to social media to say he picked out a ring for his longtime girlfriend and business partner, Alyssa Tabit. They’ve been dating since 2013.
“What an incredible experience today!! @alyssatabit and I picked out her engagement ring. Now, I get to find a time to surprise her with the proposal!!” he posted to his Instagram account.
Picking out just the right ring isn’t an easy thing because diamonds are complicated, which Smith soon realized.
“I learned so much about rings today. The cut, color, clarity, and shape. All these fancy abbreviations of SI1 SI2 VVS2 VS2 and Color G, H, and I, the list goes on!” At least it wasn’t a painful experience for him.
“They walked us through the process to find our dream ring. We are so grateful!! Cheers to the next step.” Although what he’ll do next is anyone’s guess. The two host their own podcast, and recently had co-star Christopher Sean (Paul) as a guest.
While Smith’s love life is certainly looking up, the same can’t be said for his DAYS character. Sonny is hot water because of his unfortunate association with con-artist Leo (Greg Rikaart). It cost Sonny his job and has him feeling humiliated, but there may be a silver lining.
Ex-husband Will (Chandler Massey) has been more attentive, offering to help him in any way he needs it. He’s also risked everything to get his memory back, which Sonny can’t help but feel is a good sign.
He’s hoping once Will remembers their love, they’ll reunite. If they do, perhaps Smith can help his character choose a ring.
