John’s outbursts on Days of our Lives have been going on ever since Sami screamed him into an aneurysm. But he really went mental after Jan kidnapped Belle and tried to blackmail Shawn (Brandon Beemer) into marrying her, instead.
John strangled Jan (Heather Lindell) into a coma. But now she’s awake. And threatening to press murder charges against John (Drake Hogestyn) unless Belle (Martha Madison) drops the kidnapping charges against her. So where does that leave John? What almost 5,000 fans expect to see happen:
A winning 67% of you have enough faith in John to feel confident that he’ll figure out some alternative way to fix the problem that is Jan – this time without strangling. The man has had so many personalities over the years, one of them is definitely clever enough to handle a psychopath.
A much smaller 18% of the audience believes that John has more self-control now, and we won’t be subjected to a rerun of the choking incident. John knows Jan isn’t worth it, and his rage seems to be on a low simmer these days.
He can let the authorities deal with her, and, if Jan does decide to press charges, well, he has a handy mental defect excuse. His wife is a shrink, you know. If she can get Christian/Evan out of the looney bin, she can pull strings for her man, too.
Then again, 15% want John to go ahead and finish what he started. Kill the nutcase, and let the chips fall where they may. See what we said up above about Marlena (Deidre Hall) being an expert at getting crazy killers off the hook – see Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). John has nothing to worry about when it comes to consequences. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
