Bad guys and gals have been stirring the action on daytime dramas for decades. Days of Our Lives (DOOL) certainly had its share of havoc wreakers in 2017.

From Victor’s (John Aniston) pure evil baby brother, Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), to his manipulative gold-digging widow, Eve (Kassie DePaiva). But who was the worst of the baddies to cause turmoil for the town’s poor unsuspecting citizens? Over 5,000 fans cast votes. Here’s your choice for favorite Salem villain of the year.

Deimos
It’s Deimos by a landslide! The dastardly Kiriakis received 63% of your votes. The final straw in his limitless acts of evil was making sure Nicole (Arianne Zucker), a woman he once professed to love, lost custody of her daughter, Holly. That was cruel and heartless, and that’s why you’re glad he’s dead.

Eve
Some 4% of you chose Eve as your favorite villain. You’ve loved watching her get under Victor and Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) skin as she’s forced her way into the Kiriakis family and claimed her rightful piece of their millions. It’s really stirred things up in the mansion.

Brady
Brady’s blackmailing Nicole to leave town and his lovesick stepbrother Eric (Greg Vaughn) earned him 15% of your votes. You feel Eric Martsolf is at his best when he’s playing bad Brady, and you would welcome more of it.

Xander
Victor’s menacing nephew Xander (Paul Telfer) earned 11% of your pick for top villain. Every time he resurfaces, he’s threatening someone. Having him track down Brady and Nicole in Canada and kidnapping Nicole and her daughter is what put him over the edge in your book.

Other Baddies
The remaining 7% of fans chose others as your favorite Salem villain. Among them, some of you like watching the dubious Andre’s (Thaao Penghlis) antics best, while others consider Victor your fave DAYS baddie.
