Exactly How Unaware Is Deimos On Days Of Our Lives (DOOL)?

Before he arrived in Salem, Deimos Kiriakis spent 30 years in prison on Days of Our Lives (DOOL). And lived to tell about it. That’s not easy.

He promptly played both Victor (John Aniston) and Phillip (John-Paul Lavoisier) against each other, and tangled with Kate (Lauren Koslow), which culminated with them hitting the sheets.

That’s a little easier, but no less dangerous. This led DAYS fans to deduce that Deimos wasn’t an idiot.

Wrong!
Sure, he’s done some dumb stuff before. See sleeping with Kate, above. Also, going to war against the DiMeras; kidnapping Chad (Billy Flynn) and Gabi (Camilla Banus); bribing a judge to help Nicole get custody of Holly, trusting Xander (Paul Tefler)….

And Your Enemies Closer
As of right now, Deimos still thinks that his plot to have Xander kidnap Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Holly and keep them on his private island until Deimos can heroically swoop in to “rescue” them is going splendidly.

But what can we say about Deimos’ terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad plan to SPILL THE ENTIRE PLAN TO BRADY?

OK, in Deimos’ defense, he thought Brady (Eric Marstolf) was asleep. But has Deimos never heard of people… waking up?

OK, he thought Brady was medicated. But if people in comas can still hear – and remember – what was said around them, then that should probably also apply to those given a sleeping pill.

Loose Lips, Sink Ships
Finally, does Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) not know how doors work? They open. People come in through them. Nurses, doctors, candy-stripers, friends of Brady’s. Friends like Eric (Greg Vaughn), whom Brady begged to help find Nicole and Holly.

Said people have ears. They can HEAR things. Especially things that are being spoken out loud. Did Deimos not realize he was monologouing? Does he not know what happens to super-villains who do that?

Is he about to learn?
