Get ready to breathe in, breathe out! Eric Martsolf and other members from Passions, the fan-favorite daytime drama that ran from 1999-2008, are reuniting to share stories and help charities in memory of one of the show’s late producers.
Created by the late James E. Reilly, Passions told the stories of good vs. evil with the characters from four families — the Cranes, the Bennetts, the Russells, and the Lopez-Fitgeralds — in the fictional town of Harmony. And who could forget Tabitha Lenox (Juliet Mills), the 300-year-old witch who brought to life a doll named Timmy (Josh Ryan Evans), famous for his Martimmys! The show’s opening theme, titled Breathe, was performed by Jane French.
A donation in any amount to the COVID-19 charity of your choice in memory of Passions’ beloved executive producer Lisa de Cazotte, who passed away in December 2019 after a brief illness, is greatly appreciated. (However, it is not mandatory to participate in the online reunion!)
Passions ran on NBC from July 5, 1999, to September 7, 2007, and then on DirecTV from September 17, 2007, until August 7, 2008.
Cast members participating in the online reunion include Eric Martsolf (Ethan; Brady, Days of Our Lives); Eva Tamargo (Pilar); Rodney VanJohnson (T.C.); Emily Harper (Fancy); Jade Harlow (Jessica); Brandi Burkhardt (Siren)’ Amelia Marshall (Liz), Chrystee Pharris (Simone); Donn Swaby (Chad); Erin Cardillo (Esme); Liza Huber (Gwen); Amy Castle (Viki); Emily Harper (Fancy); and Adrian Bellani (Miguel) — who now goes by his legal name, which is Gerard Celasco.
As viewers recall, one of the show’s longest-running storylines was the triangle featuring wealthy Ethan, his fiance Gwen, and Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald (Lindsay Hartley), a woman determined to win Ethan’s heart. The series concluded with the star-crossed lovers finally getting married.
The reunion is set to run Tuesday, May 12 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET. You can access the Passions online reunion by going to Daytime Royalty and clicking here.
