On Days of our Lives, Lani is putting Kristen ahead of Eli, ahead of their unborn children, and ahead of the minor detail that Lani committed a crime as a cop. She could have been, at best, fired from her police job, at worst, put into prison, to be furious with Eli for arresting Kristen for a crime she admitted to committing.
There is so much unpack here, we’re just going to start with the easiest: Should Lani (Sal Stowers) forgive Eli (Lamon Archey) for putting her future and their family ahead of a woman with a rap sheet longer than the never-ending story? What over 2,000 viewers had to say:
Oh, for Pete’s sake, what’s wrong with you, Lani, a landslide 95% of the audience is so not here for this. First: Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) did it, OK? This is not some trumped-up charge. She. Did. It.
You, on the other hand, did not do your job. Eli covered for you. Most women would see that as a good thing. You’re pregnant, and he didn’t want his kids born in jail. And taken away from their mother. Again, another good thing. You are, frankly, acting ridiculous.
Forgive your husband and move on with your life. Take the word of those of us who’ve known Kristen much longer than you have – she isn’t worth it. And she will stab you in the back at her first opportunity. Won’t you feel stupid, then? At least you’ll still have Eli.
Eli betrayed Lani’s trust. She can never forgive him, 5% assert. This is totally nothing like when she dumped him at the altar and didn’t tell him why. Lani can do whatever she wants if she thinks it’s for Eli’s own good. Eli… can’t. That’s just the way it is. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
