Lamon Archey is thrilled to be back at work as Days of our Lives as Eli Grant, and he is grateful for the safety precautions the show is taking to ensure everyone on the show is healthy during the pandemic.
Lamon Archey Takes The Test
The actor wanted to show fans what he needs to go through to get to set each day and posted a video of the COVID-19 testing experience on his Instagram account.
Wearing his mask, Archey first drives up to the tester and jokes, “you’re not going to go into my brain?” and is relieved when she answers, “not today.” He admits he’s nervous and his heart is beating fast.
As many would, he seems somewhat nervous of the idea of someone performing the test, and it’s obvious this is his first time experiencing the nasal swab test.
This involves inserting a 6-inch long swab (like a long Q-tip) into the cavity between the nose and mouth for 15 seconds and rotating it several times. It’s repeated on the other side of the nose to make sure enough material is collected, and the swab is then inserted into a container and sent to a lab for testing.
In the video, the tester begins the procedure on Archey and when asked if he’s ever had coronavirus, he answers no and says, “don’t want it!”
When the test is over, he tells her “good job” and reapplies his mask. But he let his Instagram followers know it wasn’t his favorite thing.
“She went a little deep on the second nostril,” he wrote, confirming that in the video by saying “you got that one” after she removes it. In the video, Archey also notes he “was scared for nothing” and all was good.
On the show, Eli and Lani will be welcoming two bundles of joy, but will the couple’s difference of opinion about Kristen get in the way of happiness? Stay tuned. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
