Suzanne Rogers has been on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) for around 45 years, and today she’s celebrating a very special day.
Suzanne Cecilia Crumpler, now known as Suzanne Rogers, was born on July 9, 1943 in Colonial Heights, Virginia, which means that she is turning 75 years old today!
Prior to joining DAYS in 1973, the actress was actually a dancer, performing with the world-renowned Radio City Music Hall Rockettes at the tender age of 17, which had been a lifelong dream of hers up to that point, after studied dance from a very early age.
When she moved to Los Angeles, she was cast as the opposite of a dancer on DAYS. Back then, Maggie Simmons was actually paralyzed and living on a farm when Mickey Horton (going by the alias Marty Hansen) wandered onto her farm and the two fell in love.
Of course, now fans adore her love story with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Maggie tried to help Victor be a better version of himself and every time he does something dastardly, Maggie is there to give him a hard time.
In addition to her role on DAYS, she has appeared in numerous primetime shows, including Quincy, M.E., with the late Jack Klugman, Love, American Style, Little House on the Prairie, and Knight Rider. She also appeared in Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story.
Today, the beautiful and talented actress dedicates much of her spare time to helping people who have myasthenia gravis, a rare muscle disease that she herself was diagnosed with back in 1984. She has been in remission for many years now.
