DAYS Star Brandon Barash Pops The Question In The Most Adorable Way

On Days of our Lives, Jake DiMera may be a little rough around the edges but his portrayer, Brandon Barash, is a smooth operator. The fan-favorite actor has pulled off a surprise marriage proposal to fiancée Isabella “Bella” Devoto.

DAYS Star Brandon Barash Pops the Question

Brandon Barash shared the news of the engagement and the proposal itself in an Instagram video. The actor pretended to stumble and injure his ankle after a photo was taken of himself, Devoto, and his daughter Harper Barash, whom he shares with former wife Kirsten Storms (Maxie, General Hospital). As DAYS fans recall, Barash took on the role of Stefan in 2019 and created the part of his twin, Jake, the following year.

Fortunately, some friends who were accompanying the trio were on hand to record the event and had a bandage ready to hand to Devoto so she could apply it to Barash’s ankle. At first Barash wouldn’t let Devoto examine his ankle to see how badly it was hurt (because it wasn’t!), and Harper hugged her dad, telling him he was going to be okay.

As the “injured” actor repositioned himself (so he could be down on one knee), he asked Devoto to stand up. Then, he was handed a pretty blue box (Tiffany’s?), and readied himself to propose marriage. An understandably emotional Devoto quickly surmised what was happening and responded with shock and joy. “No! No! No!” she exclaimed in disbelief.

Next, Barash, who gets our vote for “Father of the Year,” invited Harper to kneel beside him so he could help her do what’s next. Harper asked her dad if he was serious and he invited his daughter to show Devoto the ring. “No, you do it, Silly Pants!” Harper exclaimed as she stepped away from her dad and embraced her future stepmother.

“I love you so much,” Barash said as he took Devoto’s hand. “I imagine my life without you and it sucks. So, I want nothing more in this life than to be your husband.” Devoto embraced Barash, who quipped, “She’s crying. I think it’s a no.” Devoto, removing any doubt as to her answer when she quickly replied, “Yes!”

Then, Barash further included Harper in the big moment by thanking her for helping bring them together. The devoted dad opened another box, this one for Harper, which contained a pair of diamond earrings. The trio joyfully embraced.
