Right now, DAYS spoilers are filled with teases about who in Salem could have possibly killed Abigail Deveraux DiMera, but what if that whole premise is completely wrong — because it’s not actually Abby who was murdered but instead, it was her no-good sister, Gwen Rizczech?

DAYS Spoilers Wild Speculation

Yes, we get that this sounds like crazy talk but bear with us right now. We know we saw Abby’s (Marci Miller) dead body, but we also know that Salem’s rife with masks of everyone under the sun so that people can impersonate each other, right? So what if Gwen (Emily O’Brien) had the bright idea of murdering her sister, setting up Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to take the fall, and her grand plan instead went off the rails?

It’s not like Gwen is an evil genius who never makes mistakes. That’s how she got sent to prison in the first place. Suppose it was all going swimmingly, with her Sarah mask on, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) spots her, solidifying that part of the plot. It all goes well, but something happens that Gwen didn’t count on — Abby can kick her butt.

Abby ends up stabbing Gwen, who is obviously near death, and Abby flips out — causing a new altar to come out…named GwAbby! The guilt she feels over having killed her half-sister overwhelms Abby, and she is now living her life as her sister — complete with a Gwen mask. How you ask?

Well, as part of the original plan, Gwen had one made so when she killed Abby, she would put that mask on her, and everyone would think Gwen escaped, and Abby killed her in self-defense. She would then take over her sister’s life with her handy Abby mask that she also had made.

Now with Gwen dead, GwAbby put the Abby mask on a dying Gwen, put the Gwen mask on herself — and poof. GwAbby is walking around free in Salem — until either Abby actress feels like returning or they cast a new one to take on the role. Think this wild speculation could really happen?
