DAYS Spoilers Recap For Jan. 4: Jack and Jennifer Bid Salem Goodbye

The DAYS spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 4, 2022, features Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Horton Deveraux bidding Salem adieu, and Nicole Walker blaming the wrong rival for turning her office into a Build-a-Bear Workshop.

DAYS Spoilers Recap Highlights

Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) are on a mission to rescue a struggling Boston-based newspaper…but first, they must say sayonara to their nearest and dearest. First up, the spouses Johnson.

Steve (Stephen Nichols) was super sad to hear that his baby bro was upping stakes, but Jenn swore that they’d be back in no time flat. And oh, by the way, Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) is now in charge of The Spectator. (Did we miss her getting a BA in Business or, a degree in either Journalism or Creative Writing?)

Speaking of Abby…on top of ruling the roost at the town’s preeminent rag, she’s also agreed to get her sleuth on and track down a missing Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). That’s music to Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) ears; not so much for Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).

In case you were wondering, Jack and Xander did make peace – albeit begrudgingly – and Jack did forgive Gwen, though it pained him greatly.

Days of our Lives: A Woman Scorned

Upon finding the remains of Duke the Bear, a panicked Nicole (Arianne Zucker) phoned Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). The two brainstormed who could have committed such an atrocity, and as is her wont, Nicole blamed Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney). But Rafe was dubious, and he cast his eyes on another suspect…but what motive would Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) have for targeting the stuffed teddy?

DOOL Spoilers Recap: Busy Bee

To be clear, Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) is accompanying her man on his latest caper…whether he likes it or not. What isn’t as crystal, however, is how Salem University Hospital will cope without its Jill of All Trades. Here’s hoping that an in-labor, brain tumor-riddled patient isn’t admitted on a day when the power goes out.
