EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) were hoping against hope that his Statesville cellmate was neither a murder nor a hater of all persons DiMera, but it was all for naught. Much to his horror, EJ learned that he’d be bunking with Clyde Weston (James Read) — a former tormentor, and EJ’s would-be murderer. Who exactly is responsible for placement at this prison?

Meanwhile, somewhere tropical, Abigail (Marci Miller) used her smarts — and copious amounts of sleeping pills — to KO Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) so that she might have a root around her new digs.

Abby managed to find the bedroom that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) had occupied lo this many months, but much to her surprise — and to a groggy Kristen’s horror — Sarah was long gone. And that’s because the romance novel enthusiast had decided to rescue herself from her peril and go in search of her Prince Charming.

And where should Sarah’s search take her, but to the storm cellar serving as Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) new digs. Does that make a whole lot of sense? No. But we’ve got to progress this story somehow.

DOOL Spoilers Recap: With This Ring

It’s out with the old and in with the new. So long Sarah and the engagement ring bought just for you, and hello Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and the engagement ring bought just for you. Poor Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). You big, beautiful, romantic lughead.

And what a terrible person that Gwen is. Rubbing her good fortune — and engagement — in Maggie Horton Kiriakis’s (Suzanne Rogers) face.
