Father Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and his big boss, the one upstairs, was ready, willing, and able to cast the Devil out of Marlena (Deidre Hall) and back into Hell, and there was nothing that could stop him…not even MarDevil’s nifty trick of morphing into his seductive rapist (a much welcome Eileen Davidson).

But even the best exorcists need an assist, as Lankester Merrin can attest. Enter Marlena’s battling loved ones, whose combined belief in God – and their mother – proved to be enough to best Satan (and we’re sure the flashbacks running through Doc’s head helped a whole lot too).

Days of our Lives: Brother vs. Sister

Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) swears that she’s not in the least bit interested in Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens), so why can’t she find it in her heart to bless Chanel and Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) union? Chanel would really like to know. Ditto Johnny, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams), and the viewing public.

DOOL Spoilers Recap: Christmas Spirit

They may be a little long in the tooth as far as supercouples go, but Sweetness and Patch AKA Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) are still goo-goo-gaga over each other…and also still very handsy. It’s nice to know that little things like psychotic mob princess, the literal Devil, decades-long amnesia, and brain chips can’t put an end to love.

Oh, and Steve continues to buy Kayla really great gifts. Probably another reason she’s stuck it out lo these many years.
